What is a Good Way to Study for the Course?Suggested Independent Study Plan. When you are ready to begin the course, I would recommend that you follow these directions: 1. Go to the Course web site https://www.clconlinerealestate.com/ Note: This is a separate web site and is not accessed through Canvas. 2. Go to Course Main Menu Tab 3. Click Unit One – Chapters 1-4 4. Chapter 1 5. Open the Chapter Summary and then as you 6. Read your chapter in your textbook use the summary as a guide to what is important to know as you read the textbook chapter and what isn’t. You could use a highlighter if you wish. 7. When done reading, View the Slide Cast instructor lecture for that chapter and then 8. Take the Chapter Quiz , then 9. Review the annotated answers and/or study the concept of any questions you missed. Use the Glossary in your textbook to find the concepts, and then 10. Do the Vocabulary and Skill Exercises (Create a Test) if you like.The Password is REEC2020 11. Go to Chapter 2 and repeat (Click the forward arrows at bottom of the page) 12. Take the Unit Exam when you are done with that Unit. How Do I make my State Brokers License Examination Appointment?After you have competed both the 60 hr. Basic Real Estate Principles course AND the 15 Hr. Applied Practice - Interactive Course, Wait for your Uniform Transcript. After you have received your Uniform Transcript from the college. (see a picture below). Then You May Make Your State Exam Appointment: 1. Go to https://test-takers.psiexams.com/ILREP 2. Click TESTS at the top of the screen 3. Go to IL Broker Examination (if you click either the Onsite or Online and then click “Test Instructions” that will give you some information on the difference) 4. Regardless of the exam type you want to take you will have to SIGN IN/ but first you need to Create Account 5. After you create an account you go back to this screen and Sign IN to schedule one or the other. While you are waiting to take the Illinois Real Estate Brokers Exam, you may want to take a Prep for the State Exam. I recommend Exam Smart. https://www.examsmart.com/ I have never had a student tell me this was not beneficial to them. P.S. Candidates Numbers are no Longer needed to make a state exam appointment. What is the State Brokers Exam like?The Illinois Real Estate Brokers Exam is given at various location around the state and is offered in two different sections. The first section is the Real Estate Brokers National exam portion. The second section is the Real Estate Brokers state (Illinois) specific exam. The national part of the Illinois Real Estate salesperson test consists of 100 multiple choice questions. In order to pass the exam, an examinee must answer 75 out of the 100 questions correctly (75% correct). The time allowed to complete the Real Estate salesperson National Portion is 2.5 hours, if taken by itself, and 3.5 hours when taken in combination with the state portion. The Illinois state specific portion of the Illinois Real Estate Brokers Exam is comprised of 40 questions. An examinee must answer 30 questions correctly to pass (75% correct). The time allowed for the state specific part of the Illinois Real Estate Salesperson Exam is 1.5 hours, if taken separately, or 3.5 hours if taken combined with the national portion. Real Estate Brokers Exams in Illinois are administered by AMP Inc. at www.goamp.com. Before registering to take the state exam, you must first become a candidate for an exam. After becoming a candidate you must give your Candidate Number to your instructor, who will give it to the college so when you pass your two courses this will be uploaded to AMP using you candidate number. After that you may then make an aappointment to take the exam. For details Click the link labeled "Making a State Examination Appointment". In Illinois you must pass both portions ( National and State) if you fail either or both you may retake that which you failed four times within 12 months.The Illinois Real Estate Brokers exams are taken by computer. You will receive your results after finishing the exam. You are permitted to bring a simple functioning calculator since about 10% of the exam questions involve math. Remember to bring two forms of ID to the test. Also, be prepared to have a finger print scan. Do not arrive at the exam site later than 15 minutes after the start time, or you will not be admitted. Be prepared and arrive early. The registration fee to take the Illinois Real Estate Broker exam is $48. Where and When Do I take My Final Exam?We will be taking our real estate final exam through a video conferencing application called Zoom. I will be able to proctor you just the way you would have if you attended the testing center. I will set up a session for Saturday July 29 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm. . Students will 1. Be sent by e mail, a meeting invite from your instructor to connect to the meeting link 2. After the meeting begins, the student will come back to the Final Exam Link and click the Final Exam Link. 3. A screen will pop up and you will enter a code that your instructor will give you. 4. You will complete the sign in information and take the exam. 5. After you take the exam it will be graded and you may leave the zoom meeting room. Be sure you Do the Preparation for the Final ( with the answer key) on your Main Course Menu. That will be very helpful for you. Just a couple of items . You will need a 75% to pass the final. I will give you one point for doing each unit exam ( (total of 5 ) if needed. The exam is 125 Questions, It typically takes students about 2.5 to 3 hours The exam is timed to stop after four hours so you need to keep up.
